What is PakUrDerm™?  And why should you pay $14.95 to have one (or two...or a thousand!) shipped to you when you can grab some 99¢ bottles filled with shampoo, conditioner, mouthwash, body wash, body lotion or other personal grooming liquid and throw them into a quart-sized zip-top bag from your kitchen cabinet?

PakUrDerm™ was conceived and designed in the USA to rigorous standards by the founders of the company (a brother / sister entrepreneurial team) and plastics and design engineers at Plastic Resource Group, Inc.  The concept originated in early 2008 as a solution to the frustration of being unable to find a carry-on toiletry kit for air travel that follows the "3-1-1" guidelines established by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). PakUrDerm™ meets these guidelines...and exceeds them.

To better understand the product let's break down PakUrDerm™ into three parts-the six bottles, the six caps and the quart-sized bag.

THE BOTTLES

• The bottle design is a unique, patent pending construction that addresses the air traveler's worst nightmares.
  
• The mouth is wide to allow easy refills.
  
• Extra threads were added to ensure the tightest possible seal with the caps.
  
• The material chosen is recyclable and made partially from recycled materials.
  
• Bottles are reusable and dishwasher-safe.
  
• Distinctive flanges on the sides allow the bottles to be securely connected to each other.  Imagine the ease of unpacking after a "red-eye" flight-three connected bottles containing shampoo, conditioner and body wash can be tossed into the shower and the other three attached bottles with moisturizer, mouthwash and makeup remover or suntan oil can be placed on the vanity counter!
  
• Clarity of the material was an overriding concern.  Why?  To expedite your screening process by enabling TSA security agents to easily view the contents of your PakUrDerm™ kit!
  
• To guarantee the quality of PakUrDerm™ the mold we use to create the bottles incorporates multiple design modifications, including large raised volume descriptors for air travel in the USA (3 OZ) and internationally (88.7 ML).

THE CAPS

• Design of the caps targets dexterity issues, sight impairment and security of the contents.
• The outside rim of each cap has oversized "bumps" that go beyond the standard small "grip ridges" you customarily find.  These bumps allow travelers with compromised dexterity to more easily grasp a cap when opening or closing a bottle.
• Caps are offered in two six-color palettes - a vivid set with primary hues and a muted, earth tone collection.  Using unique colors for each cap in a set allows the traveler with sight limitations or the child unable to read to easily locate an item by glancing at the color of the cap.
• To accommodate the needs of the traveler with severe sight restrictions a second element was added. On the top of each cap is a raised symbol which allows a user to locate the desired bottle by touching the figure-this is an especially valuable feature in the shower for the sighted as well!
• Caps are designed with an attached O-ring that fits over the mouth of the bottle (or can be easily removed by cutting it off at the cap).  No more dropping the bottle cap into the drain!
• To secure the liquid contents the caps were created with multiple threads and a secure fit to guarantee no leaks.  Have you ever arrived at your destination only to find that variations in cabin pressure and multiple bag shifts have magically opened your $100/oz cosmetic container????  "Pop-up" bottle caps are great at home...not so compatible with today's travel challenges.
• Environmental impact was no less important when the cap material was chosen.  The caps are recyclable and the dye used is eco-friendly as well.

THE BAG

This is NOT your typical zip top freezer bag!

• The dimensions of the bag are significantly less than allowed by the TSA.  Why? Most carry-on travel kits use a flat "footprint" with a pressure-activated strip at the top.
  
• PakUrDerm™ incorporates a design with reduced height and width and a rugged zipper customized to allow easy access at the top of the bag... while still measuring a quart in volume!  By employing this solution your six PakUrDerm™ bottles fit into the bag with no wasted space or material...and little opportunity for the bottles to move around inside the bag.
  
• Even with its efficient use of space and plastic, the final product allows inclusion of a marker pen and sheets with (20) preprinted and (20) blank labels.
  
• The bag material is durable and recyclable...and the result of exhaustive testing.

CONCLUSION
